Bradwell-on-Sea has been a sacred place for me since I discovered it while living in East London and making trips out to explore the Essex countryside. Here you find one of England's oldest chapels, St Peter-on-the-Wall, founded in 654AD by St Cedd who sailed south from the holy island of Lindisfarne to found a community here.
