JOURNEY ON A LOCKDOWN PILGRIMAGE

Lockdown Pilgrimage: Welcome

While most of us are spending our days in or close to our homes, it might feel counter-intuitive to be thinking of pilgrimage, but pilgrimage is a rich and deep life-metaphor. Pilgrimage is about becoming deeply present to the here-and-now, to what is right in front of you, and recognising it as sacred.

Nothing is normal right now, but the pilgrim is well equipped to face every new challenge with insight and hope. My hope is that this Lockdown Pilgrimage will help you connect with the Holy within you, with the sacred people and places around you, and with God.

The Lockdown Pilgrimage is a five day engagement with the concept of pilgrimage - looking at our inner journeys, embodied spirituality, sacred space (even on your doorstep) and engaging with the saints.

It includes twenty pages of content and reflection questions, and two specially-recorded guided meditations. You are invited to work through it at your own pace, or perhaps use it in a small group context to stay connected in a unique way through Lockdown (please purchase one PDF for each group member).

WHAT OTHER PILGRIMS HAVE THOUGHT

I found each part of the pilgrimage meaningful. I set aside about an hour each day and appreciated your voice and input.

Mel

Thank you Fiona, I am so grateful. It has impacted my prayers and my relationship with Jesus. I have found it so helpful to prioritise my spiritual growth during this time.

Sarah

Your writings are so poignant and somehow gentle. I usually shy away from Christian based guided things but I can imagine doing this pilgrimage again soon - there are layers to it that I can benefit delving into.

Wendell Berry

“The world cannot be discovered on a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling and joyful, by which we arrive at the ground of our own feet, and learn to be at home.”
