RECOVERY WALKS

RECOVERY WALKS

Journey with me to holy sites across England for a series of recovery walks, an opportunity as the lockdown slowly lifts for a guided pilgrimage in a small group, to tend to our souls in a difficult season. Each walk will take the same shape - looking at what we need to release, what there is to receive, and how we integrate that as we return - but inspired by the particular landscape we are journeying through and the stories it holds. So you are welcome to come to more than one!

COMMON QUESTIONS

WHO ARE THESE WALKS FOR?

They are for you, if you would value an intentional, embodied way of reflecting on the state of your soul in this season. I will be drawing from contemplative Christian practices, but also inspired by the stories each location holds, including Celtic Christianity and pre-Christian England. We will also be connecting with the natural environment as we walk. These walks are open to people of all faiths or none, and my hope is to hold space for you wherever you find yourself on your spiritual walk.

HOW MUCH WALKING EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?

More detail is given in each individual walk, but as a general rule, if you have average fitness levels, you will be fine! You need to be able to walk at a comfortable pace for 2-3 hours with frequent pauses. Some routes may be muddy, depending on the weather, and some contain a few hills, although most are relatively flat. The London route can be made accessible to wheelchair users - please let me know when you register.
